What might you expect?

Sunday morning worship follows the regulative principle of worship — we aim to do what the Bible says pleases God when His people gather. We begin with Scripture reading and prayer, then Scripture memorization, singing, teaching (reading from the 1689 Confession and the Baptist Catechism), more singing, the offering, the sermon, and a closing song.

The gospel is our central focus in song, prayer, and preaching. Sermons are typically verse by verse through a book of the Bible, and we take the Lord’s Supper once a month. We believe that when the glory of God is maximized, the quest to be “relevant” fades into the background — God’s glory is what matters most!

What about your children?

In Sunday School there is a place for everyone: a nursery for ages up to 3 and classes for ages 4 and up.

During worship, we encourage parents to let their children learn to worship right alongside them in our main gathering. A cry room is available if you need to step out to change or calm your little one. You may feel your children are distracting — but to us it’s a joyful noise to hear children in our midst as we sing and hear God’s Word preached. They see mom and dad worshiping and the Bible given priority, and we trust the sufficiency of Scripture to accomplish God’s purposes at any age.

What will be expected of you?

Nothing. As a guest, we won’t ask you to sign anything, say anything, or give financially. You’ll be greeted by many friendly faces, but there’s no guest badge, and you won’t be asked to stand up or be singled out in any way.

The church gathering is for believers — but if you are not a Christian, you are warmly invited to come and see what a body of believers who love the King looks like.

Stay for lunch!

On most Sunday mornings, several families share lunch together in someone’s home after worship. It’s a great way to get to know us — if you visit on a Sunday morning, please plan to eat with us!
